The BTR 550D is an air operated sealant gun for valve maintenance. It delivers 10,000 PSI, about 690 bar, at a 100:1 pressure ratio. A double-acting piston sends sealant on both the forward and return stroke.
BTR 550D Air Operated Sealant Gun
An air-operated injection gun for larger valve service programmes across pipelines and plants.
What the BTR 550D is
The BTR 550D supports larger valve service programmes across pipelines and plants. Air-operated systems support repeated injection across many valves in one programme.
- 10,000 PSI capacity
High-pressure output, about 690 bar, for hard valve maintenance tasks. - 100:1 pressure ratio
Air input produces controlled high-pressure sealant delivery. - Double-acting piston
Delivers sealant on both the forward and return stroke. - 63 lbs shipping weight
About 29 kg. Teams can move it between service sites. - Small and large valves
The design supports varied valve sizes within its operating capability.
Where teams use it
Sites choose the BTR 550D when a programme covers many valves. The gun suits small and large valves within its stated operating limits.
For portable single-valve work, many teams start with the BTR450D Hydraulic Sealant Gun. The hand gun versus pump guide compares the two injection options.
How to use it safely
The gun must produce pressure above pipeline pressure at the valve. Teams must still check line pressure, valve condition, fittings and the sealant amount needed. The fitting's internal check valve must never be removed while the valve remains under pressure.
Review the full injection equipment range before you plan any injection task.
