Create the temporary-seal record before handover
The repair record should identify the valve, defect, product, amount, injection points and final test result. It should also state the test conditions, accepted operating envelope and remaining uncertainty.
Name the person or role that owns monitoring and escalation. Operations needs a clear contact when readings change. Maintenance needs the next review date and the intended permanent repair window.

Monitor conditions that can change the seal
Choose indicators that relate to the original failure and the repaired boundary. Common examples include downstream pressure, cavity or bleed behaviour, visible leakage, operating torque and product loss. Use the same test arrangement where trend comparison matters.
A reading is evidence only within its conditions. Pressure direction, temperature, medium and valve position can change seat loading. Record these factors rather than comparing unlike tests.

Treat every top-up as controlled work
A top-up is not an automatic response to every changed reading. First confirm that the valve still has suitable fittings, the design and service suit injection, OEM guidance applies, and operations permits the work.
Review what changed since the last injection. Check operating conditions, previous quantities, pressure response and any valve cycling. A changed response may indicate seat damage, passage restriction or loss through another route.

Use change control and plan the permanent repair
Changes to medium, pressure, temperature, flow direction or operating duty can invalidate the earlier assessment. Valve cycling can also move sealant away from the repaired seat. Route such changes through the site's change-control process.
Define escalation triggers before they occur. Examples include a worsening verified leak, shorter intervals between top-ups, abnormal injection response, rising torque, damaged fittings or operation outside the accepted envelope. These signs call for reassessment, not repeated treatment by habit.
