A complete valve service field kit is built around the planned valve task, not a generic tool list. It combines suitable injection equipment, compatible pressure connections, approved products, inspection controls, site documents and clean storage. Every item must have a known purpose, condition and limit.

Build the kit around a verified work scope
A large kit is not automatically a complete kit. Completion means the selected items support one approved task without unknown gaps.
First confirm four gates. The valve must have injection fittings in good condition. Its design and service must suit injection. OEM guidance must allow the work. Operations must also permit the activity.
If the valve condition or pressure path remains unclear, assessment comes before mobilisation. Equipment cannot correct a weak work scope.
1. Carry the right injection equipment
Choose manual or air-operated equipment from line pressure, required volume, access and site constraints. Do not choose only from the highest stated capacity.

2. Treat connections as one matched set
- Use an identified hose with known condition and permitted rating.
- Select a coupler that matches the intended fitting and locks as designed.
- Carry only identified adapters for known, compatible interfaces.
- Protect clean ports and open ends with suitable covers.
- Include a clear quarantine method for any suspect component.

3. Plan products and contamination control
Carry only the cleaner, lubricant or sealant approved for the valve, medium and service. Product identity and compatibility must be known before the work starts. The sealant injection guide explains how the selected product fits the work sequence.
Keep containers closed, clean and clearly identified. Protect filling points and couplers from dust, old residue and contact with the ground.
A spare product is useful only when it is also approved. An available container with uncertain identity should remain outside the work kit.

4. Include inspection and control items
- Condition checks. Use the inspection items required by the approved equipment procedure.
- Pressure observation. Confirm that the accepted indication can be read during the task.
- Product control. Record controlled amounts rather than treating container size as a dose.
- Clean handling. Carry approved cleaning materials and covers for each open interface.
- Area control. Use the barriers and warning controls required by the site.
- Personal protection. Follow the task assessment and site requirements for protective equipment.
No list can replace the site risk assessment. Conditions around the valve may add controls that a standard kit cannot predict.
5. Carry the documents that govern the work
The field engineer needs the approved work scope, valve identity, line pressure and component records. OEM guidance and site permits must also be available.
Record equipment inspection, product identity, controlled delivery and pressure response. Pressure, flow and noise can suggest behaviour, but do not confirm repair.
The site-approved valve test confirms the outcome. The task record should capture that result and any follow-up action.

6. Use a missing-item rule
Before leaving, trace the planned pressure path from equipment to valve. Confirm each connection, control and record needed at every step.
If an identified, rated or approved item is missing, delay the task. Do not replace it with an unknown spare or makeshift connection.
A coherent field kit reduces uncertainty. Where uncertainty remains, escalation is part of competent field work.
